Alles Werbung oder was?/ All advertising or what?

Hier das neue März-Update. 

Bevor ihr allerdings hier weiterlest, schaut mal eben ganz kurz nochmal in den vorletzten Blogeintrag. Da habe ich noch einige Bilder von dem Zweitjahres Studenten Trip nach Indiana, wo wir bei der biblischen Beratungs-Konferenz waren, nachträglich hochgeladen. 😂

Ich wollte euch ja noch den Link von unserem Kurzfilm geben, den wir das letzte mal gedreht haben in der Medienabteilung. Wer gerade keine Ahnung davon hat, dem empfehle ich in meinen letzten Blogeintrag reinzuschauen, um das Thema und die Inhaltsangabe (nochmal) zu lesen. 😊 Das Video hatte ich jetzt nicht auf Facebook hochgeladen. Von der Medienabteilung aus sind wir erneut zur Werbeveranstaltung nach Erie gefahren. Wieder mit dabei: das Pony Shotgun! 🐴 Wir haben alle möglichen Fragen zur Ranch beantwortet und auf verschiedene offene Tage und natürlich unser Sommer Camp, welches übrigens um Ende Juni/ Anfang Juli rum wieder startet, aufmerksam zu machen. Bei diesem Event waren die verschiedenen Aussteller dabei. Alle in den Bereichen Natur, Outdoor, Angeln, Urlaub und und und… 🏞 Außerdem gab es eine große Ausstellung an Wohnmobilen, die Freude auf Urlaub machten. 

Letzten Samstag gab es einen Junggesellen-Abschied von einer unserer Mitarbeiterinnen. Die Dekorationen waren wirklich schön und es gab ein paar Spiele. Es wurden 50 Ringe versteckt. Wer am meisten Ringe gefunden hatte, bevor die zukünftige Braut die Geschenke vor allen aufmachen würde, hat gewonnen. 🎁

Das nächste Spiel ging wie folgt: Die zukünftige Trauzeugin hat zuvor ein paar Fragen an den Bräutigam gestellt und die gleiche Frage dann auf der Feier an die Braut gestellt. Haben die Antworten nicht übereingestimmt, musste die Braut jedes Mal ein neues Kaugummi in den Mund machen. 👰🏼‍♀️

Die letzte Aktion war, dass die Braut die Geschenke vor allen geöffnet hat. Jeder konnte währenddessen bei einem Braut-Bingo mitmachen. Man hat eine Karte mit Feldern, wo man erraten kann, was die Braut geschenkt bekommt. Hatte man recht, kann man seine Antwort einkreisen. Hat man fünf Dinge in einer Reihe, vertikal oder horizontal erraten, dann ruft man BINGO! Nun bekam man ein kleines Geschenk. 🎁

Wer hätte gedacht, dass diese Junggesellen-Abschied Party mein erster sein wird - und dann noch in Amerika! 🤭🇺🇸

Am Montag war es endlich soweit: Ich bin das erste Mal auf eine echte amerikanische Auktion gefahren! ☺️ Es war nur eine kleine Auktion, aber es war genau so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Es wurden alte Antike Sachen verkauft. Als ich mit einer Mitarbeiterin das Gebäude betrat, war ich wirklich erstaunt und direkt gespannt zu sehen, wie so etwas abläuft. An der Rezeption haben wir ein Los bekommen gehabt. Wir wollten aber nur zuschauen und haben nicht geboten. 😂 Jetzt mal ehrlich. Ich konnte den Mann vorne fast nicht verstehen. Er hat so schnell geredet und manchmal waren die Wörter so undeutlich, dass man wirklich genauer hinhören musste, was er sagte. Es ist der Wahnsinn, wie viel verkauft wird und welche Dinge für günstig weg gingen und welche super teuer waren. Jemand hat 2 Stühle für 5 Dollar bekommen während ein anderer nur eine kleine alte Dekoration kaufte für viel Geld. 

Alleine da zu sein und das „Feeling“ zu spüren war genial. 😄 Als nächstes möchte ich gerne mal auf eine Pferdeauktion gehen. 🐎 Ich habe schon mal mit dem Barn-Direktor gesprochen. Mal gucken ob und wann das möglich sein könnte. 🤔

Wir sind schon im 7. Monat unseres Schul-Programms angekommen. Die Zeit vergeht so schnell und wir bereiten uns so langsam auf die Sommerpositionen vor. Ich werde sehr wahrscheinlich wieder im Medienbereich was machen und die Videos, die wir immer drehen managen. 🎥🎬 Eventuell bleiben einige der Medien Erstjahres-Studenten auch noch für den Sommer. Die Studenten müssen ja nicht in ihrer Abteilung bleiben, in der sie über das Schuljahr sind. Für den Sommer kann man auch wechseln. ☀️

Vielleicht kann ich Euch schon bald mehr zu meinen Zukunftsplänen erzählen. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Ist ja noch ein paar Monate hin. Die gehen aber schneller rum als man denkt… 🤭😢

Here is the new March update.

But before you continue reading here, take a quick look at the second to my last blog entry. There I uploaded some pictures from the second year student trip to Indiana, where we were at the biblical counseling conference. 😂

I wanted to give you the link from the cinematic film we made last time in the media department. If you don't know anything about it right now, I recommend you to have a look at my last blog entry to read (again) the topic and the synopsis. 😊 I had not uploaded the video to Facebook now. From the media department, we went to the promotional event in Erie again. Along for the ride again: the mini Shotgun! 🐴 We answered all kinds of questions about the ranch and to raise awareness about various open houses and of course our summer camp, which by the way starts again around the end of June/ beginning of July. At this event were the various exhibitors. All in the areas of nature, outdoor, fishing, vacation and and and... 🏞 In addition, there was a large exhibition of RVs, which made joy on vacation.

Last Saturday there was a bridal shower of one of our staff members. The decorations were really nice and there were a few games. There were 50 rings hidden. Whoever found the most rings before the bride-to-be would open the presents in front of everyone won. 🎁

The next game went as follows: The future maid of honor asked a few questions to the groom beforehand, and then asked the same question to the bride at the ceremony. If the answers did not match, the bride had to make a new gum in her mouth each time. 👰🏼

The final action was for the bride to open the gifts in front of everyone. Meanwhile, everyone could participate in a bride bingo. You have a card with squares where you can guess what the bride is getting as a gift. If you were right, you can circle your answer. If you guessed five things in a row, vertically or horizontally, you shout BINGO! Now one got a small gift. 🎁

Who would have thought that this bridal shower would be my first - and then in America! 🤭🇺🇸

Monday was finally the day: I went to a real American auction for the first time! ☺️ It was only a small auction, but it was exactly how I imagined it. There were old antique things being sold. When I entered the building with a staff member, I was really amazed and directly excited to see how something like this goes. At the reception we got an auction ticket. But we just wanted to watch and did not bid. 😂 Now let's be honest. I almost couldn't understand the man in front. He was talking so fast and sometimes the words were so unclear that you really had to listen more closely to what he was saying. It's insane how much is sold and which things went for cheap and which were super expensive. Someone got 2 chairs for $5 while another just bought a little old decoration for a lot of money.

Being there alone and having this feeling was awesome. 😄 Next I would like to go to a horse auction sometime. 🐎 I have already spoken with the Barn Director. Let's see if and when that might be possible. 🤔

We are already into the 7th month of our school program. Time is going by so fast and we are starting to get ready for summer positions. I will most likely be doing something in media again and managing the videos we always shoot. 🎥🎬 Possibly some of the first year media students will stay for the summer as well. After all, students don't have to stay in the department they are in for the school year. They can also transfer for the summer. ☀️

Maybe I can tell you more about my future plans soon. 🙋🏼‍♀️ It's still a few months away. But they go by faster than you think... 🤭😢
