Eltz Castle truly is a hidden gem located near Koblenz, Germany. Surrounded by a little forest, you will be baffled once you see it.
The castle is over 850 years old!
Every 15min or so, you can take a short tour through the castle. I can highly recommend it! Very interesting and informative. Sadly you can't take any pictures while inside....
If you go on a day that is somewhat cloudy or rainy, you'll get some good pictures with that froggy/spooky medieval times flavor.
Btw: From 1961 to 1995 the German 500 DM banknote showed a view of Eltz Castle.
