Kennst du Tolosa? Hier ein paar Informationen, denn es ist meine letzte Station in Spanien:

Tolosa ist eine Stadt im Baskenland, genauer gesagt in der Provinz Gipuzkoa in Spanien. Bekannt für ihre kulinarische Szene, insbesondere für das traditionelle baskische Gericht "Tolosa-Bohnen" (Alubias de Tolosa), zieht die Stadt Feinschmecker aus der ganzen Welt an. Tolosa ist auch für ihre Architektur, historischen Gebäude und kulturellen Veranstaltungen bekannt. Mit ihrer malerischen Altstadt und der umliegenden Natur bietet Tolosa Besuchern eine authentische baskische Erfahrung.

Wenn ich am Morgen meistens früh aufwache, frage ich mich immer wieder, was der Tag wohl bringen mag an Erlebnissen und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es ist keine Pauschalreise, wo es ein Tagesprogramm gibt und du jederzeit weisst, was wann kommt. Bei mir sieht manchmal die Welt schon um die nächste Ecke ganz anders und unerwartet aus. 

Schon durch Vitoria gab es viele Radwege und ich bin rasch aus der Stadt gekommen, fast ohne Berührung mit dem Verkehr. Doch noch erstaunlicher war es danach. Der Radweg ging über viele Kilometer mitten durch die Natur. Das war einmal eine Bahnlinie nach Navarra, die nun sinnvoll in einen schönen Radweg verwandelt wurde. Insgesamt waren es 17 Kilometer bis ich auf eine einsame Strasse kam. Diese führte mich kurz aufwärts um dann eine Ewigkeit abwärts zu gehen. Ich bekam schon kalt, weil ich nie treten musste. Danach gab es wieder Radwege, die mich die ganze Tour begleiteten. 

Als Ziel habe ich bei Komoot schon einen Ort in Frankreich eingegeben. Das wären 137 Kilometer gewesen. Im Bewusstsein, dass ich das sowieso nicht schaffe, bin ich einfach losgefahren. Es war heute Regen angesagt und so sagte ich mir, dass ich fahre bis ich müde bin oder es anfängt zu regnen. Hier in Tolosa war es dann soweit, es hat leicht geregnet und so sah ich mich nach einem Hotel um. Da es nur 2 Hotels gab bei Booking.com, war die Auswahl schnell gemacht. 

Danach hat es tatsächlich angefangen zu regnen, doch damit muss ich auch morgen rechnen. Seit Gibraltar habe ich es immer trocken und meist sonnig gehabt. Nun hoffe ich einfach, dass das regnerische Wetter nicht auch so lange Geduld hat. 

Inzwischen habe ich für heute Abend und morgen eingekauft und bin nun bei einem Bier am schreiben und den Tag nochmals Revue passieren lassen.

Cuando me levanto temprano la mayoría de las mañanas, siempre me pregunto qué me deparará el día en términos de experiencias y vistas. No es un paquete turístico donde hay un programa diario y siempre sabes lo que viene y cuándo. Para mí, a veces el mundo se ve completamente diferente e inesperado a la vuelta de la esquina.

Por Vitoria había muchos carriles bici y salí de la ciudad rápidamente, casi sin contacto con el tráfico. Pero después fue aún más sorprendente. El carril bici discurría a lo largo de muchos kilómetros por la naturaleza. Antiguamente era una línea de ferrocarril que conectaba con Navarra y que ahora se ha transformado en un bonito carril bici. En total fueron 17 kilómetros hasta llegar a un camino solitario. Esto me llevó brevemente cuesta arriba y luego cuesta abajo durante una eternidad. Ya estaba pasando frío porque nunca tuve que pisar. Luego volvieron a haber carriles bici que me acompañaron durante todo el recorrido.

Ya he introducido un lugar en Francia como destino en Komoot. Serían 137 kilómetros. Sabiendo que no podría hacerlo de todos modos, simplemente partí. Se pronosticó que llovería hoy, así que me dije a mí mismo que montaría hasta que me cansara o empezara a llover. Aquí en Tolosa había llegado el momento, llovía ligeramente y entonces busqué un hotel. Como solo había 2 hoteles en Booking.com, la selección fue rápida.

Después de eso empezó a llover, pero tengo que esperar que mañana también. Desde Gibraltar siempre ha estado seco y mayormente soleado. Ahora sólo espero que el tiempo lluvioso no tenga que ser paciente por mucho tiempo.

Mientras tanto, he comprado para esta noche y mañana y ahora estoy escribiendo mientras tomo una cerveza y reflexiono sobre el día.

There were many cycle paths through Vitoria and I got out of the city quickly, almost without touching traffic. But it was even more amazing afterwards. The cycle path went for many kilometers through the middle of nature. It used to be a railway line to Navarra, which has now been sensibly transformed into a beautiful cycle path. In total it was 17 kilometers until I came to a lonely road. This took me uphill for a short time and then went downhill for an eternity. I got cold because I never had to pedal. After that there were cycle paths again that accompanied me the whole tour.

I had already entered a place in France as my destination on Komoot. That would have been 137 kilometers. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to do it anyway, I just set off. It was forecast to rain today and so I told myself that I would cycle until I was tired or it started to rain. Here in Tolosa the time had come, it was raining lightly and so I looked around for a hotel. Since there were only 2 hotels on Booking.com, the choice was made quickly.

After that it actually started to rain, but I have to expect the same tomorrow. Since Gibraltar I have always had dry and mostly sunny weather. Now I just hope that the rainy weather doesn't last as long.

In the meantime I've done my shopping for this evening and tomorrow and am now writing with a beer and reflecting on the day.
