There is space under the heading for your personal contribution. Write as much as you can. Here you can "put on paper" everything you want to share with others. Tell us what you experienced on your trip. Are there any special highlights in the places that are worth seeing? Other travel enthusiasts will be happy to receive insider tips from you. Perhaps you also visited a really delicious restaurant or are there sights that you think are particularly worthwhile?

A travel blog without pictures is not a travel blog!

If you want to make your post even more attractive and clear, upload pictures. This is very easy to do by clicking on the picture button. Now you have to press the plus sign and select the pictures you want to attach to your post. You can also give your picture a title. If you see a sight or landscape, for example, you can enter the name here. If you accidentally add a picture that doesn't belong to your post, you can simply delete it again on the right under the picture.

Your travel blog with map

A particularly great feature that Vakantio offers you is the linking of your blog posts on a map. You can click on the map symbol above your article, enter the location that your post is about and it will be linked to the map.

Long texts are beautiful, excerpts are more beautiful

Next to your draft you will find the so-called excerpt. Here you can write a short summary of your article. Before other travel enthusiasts click on your finished report, they will be able to read the text written in the excerpt as a preview. It is best to write briefly here the most exciting things that your article is about, so that everyone else will be even more interested in reading it.

Try to make your excerpt as interesting as possible, but keep it short and sweet. The excerpt should make people want to read your post and not give everything away straight away.

You will also find the so-called keywords (tags) on the page. Here you can enter individual words that have something to do with your post. These will be displayed as hashtags under your finished article. You're not alone? No problem - add other authors to your post so that you can work on your article together. However, your co-authors must also be registered with Vakantio for this. Go to your profile and click on the "Add authors" field. Here you simply enter the email address of your co-author and you can then work on your post together.
